The University of Phoenix

June 7th, 2009 by admin

Unlike other colleges, the University of Phoenix concentrates on team learning. Team assignments make up to 20 percent of the student’s grade. Hence, students get much more than they considered while pursuing their education at the Phoenix’s university.

This online university believes that distance education should not be a just isolated or individual effort. In effort to assist their students to do better in careers, the univeristy believes that students should obtain more practice working efficaciously as a virtual team. In addition to submitting personal short answers as well as papers, students must work as part of this team, on one course long work where the work on a single week counts upon the week done in advance.
The University of Phoenix aims at mature adults that have been in a work force for five years at least. Many Phoenix students have been job oriented for certain time. By designing the online classes so they do not need meetings at fixed times, the university assists busy persons to advance their educations. Though do not get the wrong concept: the University of Phoenix is not set up as other distance education programs, for example, correspondence courses, where you set your individual timeline. The university requires its students to be online four times a week in order to participate, thus you should post assignments weekly.
Fruitful team work is a necessary part to a success career. An interview has rotated around a student’s “team spirit.” Online jobs need collaboration to a particular degree as well.
